The statue of Our Lady of the New Millennium, commissioned by the late Carl Demma, was inspired by his lifelong devotion to Our Blessed Mother. The stainless steel statue stands 38 feet tall and weighs over 8,000 pounds.
Pope John Paul II blessed the statue during his visit to St. Louis in January 1999. Ingeniously transported on a flatbed truck and raised by custom hydraulics, Our Lady of the New Millennium has since visited hundreds of parishes and religious communities in the Archdiocese of Chicago.
Many events are scheduled during the two-week devotional visit of this statue:
Sunday, June 7: Welcome Reception (Cahill Center). Father Fleck will lead that parish in prayer.

Thursday, June 18:
St. George Youth Ministry leads this evenings devotion including-the teen choir/band and Rosary from 7:00-8:30 pm

Farewell Marian Devotion hosted by the 75th Anniversary Committee
